Ask and Receive

(After the BYU Men’s Chorus Concert with Brooks and Butler Grandparents.) As you can see we have some very special faces behind us. :-)🙄
The Seguine Family from my home ward!
The Harris Family! (Former ward members from back home.)
The Wells Family! (More former ward members.)They were visiting for Pollie's wedding.

We got paid for the month so we stocked up on a lot of food! Sister
George from Missouri in the background.

Hola Familia y Amigos!

We are really enjoying the beautiful weather right now. The flowers are in full bloom and it is finally warming up. It feels so good to not wear boots or tights anymore!

I got to attend Brooks' and Brady's performance in the BYU Men's Chorus this past Saturday in the Tabernacle. Brooks told me about it when I saw him during conference and ever since then I was debating about asking my mission president. I almost decided not to ask because I thought he would say no....but then I just decided to ask. You never know unless you ask, you know. As soon as I asked if I could go he immediately said yes! I was so thankful. The performance was so enjoyable!! Brooks did so good in his solo and Brady was such a great dancer--I had no idea he danced as part of that song. After Brooks' solo there were several people who clapped in the audience even when the song wasn't finished. I did too! Several of the songs that were selected, such as "Fight the Good Fight" and "You'll Never Walk Alone", are songs I Iisten to all the time while getting ready in the morning. It was the best hearing some of my favorite songs! I give 5 stars and two thumbs up for the BYU Men's Chorus performance!

The performance ended at 9pm and that is the time when all the sisters meet up to walk home--it's a rule that we have to go in three companionship's for our safety. I really wanted to get a picture quickly so Brooks' nice friend helped me track him down. I ran into Gpa and Gma Butler too! I had no idea they would be there. We only had time to say a quick hello, take a picture, and then say a quick goodbye. I was sad we didn't have more time together, but at least we got to see each other. It was fun getting to be there for the performance! Only would I get that opportunity serving here!

My companion and I had success with finding solid investigators this week. I got one from a member referral online. The referral was from a recent convert of one year and she was referring her sister. We called this sister and she shared her story. She started believing in Christ 3 years ago and just recently started feeling like the church she is going to isn't right. I taught her a summary of the restoration and in response she said that she feels so excited, she had a good feeling in her stomach--that's how she described it. She wanted to call the missionaries right away and set up an appointment. I will update you on what happens. That was only my first call with her! The Lord truly prepares His children to receive this gospel.

I love you guys. Keep up the good work with school and other activities at home!

xoxoxoxoxoxo,
Sister Butler

Line of the Week:
This was from couple of weeks ago when some general authorities were having a meeting for general conference in the South Visitor Center basement. Sister Yoshida and I were in our cubicle when we heard a very familiar voice. Some men were walking by as they were going to the theater....and among the men was Elder Ballard!

Sister Yoshida whispers: "Do you feel something?"

Sister Butler: "Yes. The Spirit is so strong!"

Elder Ballard, an apostle of the Lord, brought a very strong spirit with him and we could feel it tangibly. He walked right by our cubicle, within a couple of feet of each other (though we didn't see him because of the cubicle walls.)
