Hello again!
It's already my second week here. Time is going by so fast already and
I want to make the most of it! This week was pretty slow with finding
new people to teach. Our new investigator, Brianna, has been out of
town all week so we're going to check up and see if she's back yet
tonight.
Btw, I've already decided I want to move here someday. Great people,
great area, and AWESOME ice cream (anyone ever had Loard's before?).
:)
It's been funny how many people I've met from Ukiah. Our roommate,
Sister Hernandez, grew up and is from Ukiah. We visited a less active
member and she is also from Ukiah. It's awesome to find these personal
connections!
Something interesting I've noticed is that my spirit is YEARNING to
share the restoration all day everyday. I would be able to share it
multiple times a day with people on Temple Square because there are
always people around. I just wasn't expecting to yearn this way. Yesterday
we shared the restoration with a couple sitting on a park bench. They
didn't want to learn more but my soul and heart felt so satisfied for
testifying. It's been interesting because you know when you feel like
you're spiritually lacking something, but I know WHAT it is my spirit
is missing. If that makes sense.
I absolutely love church. My roommates and companion look at me crazy
when I say happily, "I'm so excited for church tomorrow!!!" You really
appreciate something when you don't have it. I try to savor all three
hours of church but it goes by way too fast!
I want to share that I know the Savior's church has been brought to
the earth once again in these latter-days. I know that it is the
Lord's kingdom on the earth. It is sure, reliable, and true. Our
Savior is at the head leading and guiding us, and we are able to
return to God's presence because of Him. I love him and I find
strength everyday from his sacrifice. The more you come to know him
the more your life will change. You find greater joy, peace, and
meaning in life. Share with someone the difference He has made in your
life this week.
I love you all! Keep pressing forward!
Xoxoxox,
Sister Butler
